Dirty Dancing "remake"

I was asked recently if my blog has now gone all business. Yes and No. I no longer post regularly here as a "personal blog." I have moved most of that to other social media sites.

The fact is that personal blog readership has gone the way of the horse and buggy.

Unless you are a huge giveaway blog, there is very little interest. Sad, but true.

Things were much different when I started almost 9 years ago.

I have been posting clips from some of the background work I have been doing lately, most of it to have mementos for myself and also because occasionally someone from the blog world recognizes me and emails me! This happened once and I was blown away as I had not yet posted about the show.

To that end, on Wednesday on ABC, a "remake" of Dirty Dancing will be airing at 8 pm. It was a pleasure to work on this set and you may catch a glimpse of me somewhere in the show. Not certain, of course.

The "remake" has already received a lot of negative press. Ignore the naysayers and watch it anyway!!  It is not meant to replace the classic movie. Just another take on it that I hope you will enjoy :)

If you want to look for me, here are the two wardrobe options I was fitted with. First, the cheeky STD outfit lol - complete with nerd glasses and polka dot shorts, and the more demure "going to brunch" floral outfit.

Thanks to all of you who have supported me in these various projects. I realize that it is "background" work and nothing more. Nevertheless, I am having fun with it :) and isn't that what life is about?

*obvs since I do not use my real name anywhere on the blog, this is not an attempt to build some huge "background" fan base lol

GlassesShop.com : A Review - and Discount! Check out the photo!

It is always fun to update your look with new glasses. In this case, my son, who I have written about since he was 12 (he is now 21!) is now wearing these new snazzy specs courtesy of GlassesShop.com.

He was very much in need of a new pair of glasses especially with all the reading he is doing preparing to enter into his Senior year of University. Time flies!

These frames are honestly more attractive on him than the previous pairs he has purchased in-store. I think they are an excellent fit for his face. And to think it was all done online!

It is so easy now to order glasses online and it is generally a lot less expensive. A definite win-win. All I had to do was select the lenses and email his eyeglass prescription and pupillary measurement and within 10 days he had an awesome new pair of eyeglasses.

I encourage you to visit GlassesShop.com and try on a pair of glasses "virtually." It is fun and easy to do and can help you get an idea of which shapes work best with your face shape. As a special gift for my readers, use code GSHOT50 to save 50% for all eyeglasses and sunglasses, with the exception of sale frames. You will not be disappointed!!

Full Disclosure: I received a pair of eyeglasses for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was provided.

Shots Fired!

I was on FOX last night, in Shots Fired, an "event series" about a police shooting and the fallout. It is very relevant to current events. I will also appear in here and there in upcoming episodes, mainly as an administrator at the Sheriff's Department.

It is set in the fictional town of Gate Station, NC.

Here are a couple screen shots from last night's pilot episode:

Snow - and More!

So we had one inch of snow yesterday morning. And it was melted and gone by 3:00 !

Pumpkin was simply astounded when she saw the lawn coated in white...

I am knee deep in working on the taxes - which equates to misery :P and memorizing a lengthy script for my film class "Scene Night" I play a nun - talk about typecasting LOL.

Oh and I was on The Walking Dead again last night!!! That's all for this season. What a fun ride it has been!
Playing an art teacher was a dream come true, since I spent most my childhood at an easel drawing and painting. If you can't teach art, at least you can pretend to teach it :D

I Was on The Walking Dead!!!

Thank you to my bloggy friend Kathie for commenting that she saw me on Episode 9 of The Walking Dead!!!

'tis true!

It was the second time I was on the show, the first being Season 7 Episode 2 when I was a teacher in The Kingdom.

Here are a couple screen caps from Episode 9, of me strolling with a friend. We look like the Doublemint Girls lol

and in case you are interested in where I was in Episode 2 of this season, here I am in The Kingdom again, in the gazebo teaching a geography lesson as Morgan wheels Carol in the background :)

I promise this blog won't be my background work all the time, but I do like to share it and was so tickled that Kathie spotted me, especially since we have never met in person. Mind Blown!

I'm on Good Behavior

Please excuse another screen shot post, but I like to keep these on here for me to look back on and reminisce...

I was on the finale of the series Good Behavior with Michelle Dockery (TNT) - it was an action-packed 15 hour day. So well worth the trip!!

I was a lawyer in the interior courthouse scene and walking with my client in the lobby.

Here are a few photos:

The good news for Good Behavior fans is that the show will be back for another season. YAY!!!

It's Snowing!

Looks like we have about 4 inches of snow. It was complete chaos yesterday with everyone in search of Milk and Bread. But it appears we will all survive Snowmageddon 2017.

Pumpkin is mesmerized:

How much by you?
