Time to Put on My Serious Blogger Cap

and get down to serious business, y'all. But before I get into that, let me say that if I was still doing a comment of the week (which I am not) - it would be 25BAR's comment on yesterday's post, simply: "Please do not post censored photos!" ;-)

Now down to the business at hand. I, along with several others of you fine bloggers, have been invited to do a guest post on a very well-written blog. I am sweating it now that I am under the pressure to crank out a quality post that relates to parenting. This means not a questionable post that mentions Pamela Anderson or one that brags about my *ahem* underrated ass. (Although I do reserve the right to mention the second topic in at least every other blog post for the next year.)

I have a few ideas in mind, but if you happen to have noticed any parenting areas where I particularly excel, please let me know. I would like to make the post extra value-added, which may take all the blogging strength I can muster.....

P.S. That is seriously my door. I like red doors so I spontaneously decided to paint it. Not sure if the neighbors like it. But sure that I don't care. That is also my handmade "no soliciting" sign. Classy.

P.P.S. I'm going to smile in my next pic as these serious pics are even starting to scare me!!! Plus from that angle my nose looks waaaaay longer than it is :-(

Guest post? Where? Why wasn't I asked? I mean, I don't do guest posts, but they could still ask!! Waaaah.

I'm am sure the guest blogger post will be a riot. We are a red door family as well, but more of a maroon shade.

I'm sure you'll come up with something super! I love the door. If you want I'll punch all your neighbors in the nose that don't like it. (just kidding, I'm quite the weenie)

How many moms have incorporated juggling into their parenting? That should surely be mentioned. I don't know about the bellydancing. Is that part of your parenting routine? It probably should be.

How about this topic: "How Bellydancing Helped Me Improve My Son's Juggling: A Parenting Primer."

Vodka Logic said...

I was going to say what lisa said, your son can juggle..that's awesome.
And your dancing must have some pos effects on parenting.

Make sure you leave a link when you post I want to know what blogger hasnt asked me to post... lol

Love that photo - you're funny! (Er...that's 'funny ha ha'...not funny 'peculiar' ...because that stare *is* a tad scary).

Hey could could always write about discipline through the use of facial expressions alone! No?

love the pic and the hat!!!

and I love the red door...I can't remember if it's a Chinese belief or not, but red doors are good luck :-)

hmmmmm, about the guest post...I think at least one area where you excel as a parent is attitude and teaching your son how to get through life with all the bs he's experienced with jerks at school!

I didn't get past the red door. I freaking LOVE red doors.

The hat is cool too.

Love the red door. I think the guest post can incorporate how you raise such a self assured kid.

You should write about helping your son cope with living in a house with a red door.

You are cute! I love the read door! I have one too and I think it is suppose to bring you good luck. ;)

Good luck with your post...When you are done there can you come do one at my place like today?! :D

So inquiring minds want to know what the sign taped to the door says?

"Beware of the after effects of Burritos!"

"No Bro-Mance Zone!"

"Punk rocker Mom lives here!"

How about a post on why being married to some men is like raising a(nother) teen-age son?

Kristin said...

I have complete faith in you lady!

I think you should write about how you have managed to remain friends with VC during his teen years. You two seem to get along really well, which I think is sweet. Seriously...

You definitely excel in picking up awesome skills so that you can share them with your son. I hope that when I have a kid, mine wants to learn how to do something cool so I can help them.

Oooo when is this guest post? I'm so excited for you! Love the serious hat!

I'm a newbie to your blog, but just wanted to wish you luck on your guest post. Hey, if they asked you then they must think you already rock.

Love the red door, by the way :)

Maybe you could do a post on how not to misplace your child?

Wow, where was my invite to guest blog?? Life is so unfair.
I love the red door - mine is purple. It was that way when I moved in last year and it's one of the things that I just felt was "right" for me when we were touring the house. It doesn't even really match so I'm not sure what the story is about it, but I love it.

So is it a credible site, like you need to be credible? Or can you just be you? LOL, totally kidding!!!

You'll rock it, sweet thing. You will!

You couldn't look mad, even if you were!

Aunt Juicebox said...

Oh don't ask me for advice on seriousness. Hey at least your sign is polite. If I had to post a sign like that I promise it will be vulgar.

25BAR said...

Just be yourself!
You don't need the *serious blogger* or any other *hat*.
Although, it is rather funny!

Joy said...

Excuse me but I don't like nose disclaimers! Just work the gorgeousness!

Melissa B. said...

I don't think you need to be serious in your guest post, just because the blogger is a good writer. What makes your posts so enteratining is that you are you. I'd do a combo on the belly dancing, the juggling, the cheeseballs and the red door. I'd call that a win, win, win, win situation, wouldn't you? And please let us know when you'll appear so we can see how it all turns out!

Janna Bee said...

Okay, I have no suggestions (surprise!) but I know you will do well! Where?? I can't wait to read it.
