Gotta Love the Public School System

...for accurately portraying real life scenarios. VC came home with this mathematics worksheet last week. He was excited to show me how "inappropriate" it was. But in light of the Tiger Woods, fiasco it may be an important learning tool:

In case you can't read it:

Q. What happened to the Baseball Player who was unfaithful to his wife
A. He was thrown out at home

tee hee.

If the teachers in our district had that sense of humor there would be no talk of home schooling.

Omigod that is too funny! Here all the parents are too worried about the silhouette of a naked woman that a plastic surgeon has on his logo that is on the building near the high school...can you imagine what a question like that would do to the parents here and what kind of tailspin that would be?! :D

It would be funny it I was taking the test. But I'm not so sure I'd be as amused if my 13 year old son was taking it!

Teachers have a lot to compete with for attention and it does seem that parents complain they are too old school and boring, guess this teacher was spicing it up!

Oh my gosh that is hilarious! I totally can't believe they had that as a school assignment!

Seriously. That cannot be real.

Ha - awesome. I think those exact worksheets were around when I was young, so they are really about 20 years old and no reference to current situations, though it really is fitting!! I wonder if that teacher got a laugh about it when she was preparing the worksheets for the class.

That's amazing! I cannot believe that was on homework!

Maybe they were trying to teach some life lessons along with math.

I love it! I used to have a few creative teachers who spiced things up. Anything to keep students' attentions!
