Creature Comforts

If you've got a dishwasher that has totally impressed you with its superior cleaning power, please let me know the deets. I have been spending weeks washing dishes that have already been washed in the dishwasher. MB claims he is going to look into the problem, but in the meantime, I'm gonna start scouting out some new ones....So I can stop having to wash all these while running late for work:

and go back to appreciating the convenience a dishwasher traditionally provides!!

While my kitchen has become a source of frustration, the living/family room will soon be getting a new furnishing. Hint: it is something extremely comfy that harks back to my childhood and is incidentally totally funky!! Stay tuned for my upcoming review. Here's the tentative space that it will occupy:

It is something I could possibly fall asleep in. So if you're thinking wooden bar stools you'd be way off base. Nor is it a really, really REALLY BIG PEN ;-)

Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Cleaning dishes, just overrated, blech!
I had this problem once, then I saw that a plastic container has fallen down, preventing the blade from spinning.

A dishwasher with superior cleaning power? That'd be me! One day I'll join the 21st century and get one of these wonderful appliances. In the meantime? ...'Get to work Cinderellie!' :D

Our dishwasher did the same thing. Luckily I am weird and I don't mind doing the dishes :-) Someday we'll get a new one.

Personally, I let the dog take care of the dishes before I stick them in the dishwasher, so I'm guaranteed they'll come out clean.(Joking, kind of....)

As for that addition to your family room, my guess is it's one of those big hanging egg-shaped chairs from the '70s. The kind with the speakers inside where you could listen to soothing music. Am I right????

Thank you for stopping by my site, but now I'm really curious why 3 SITS welcomers stopped by in rapid succession - is there some kind of list? :)
I have had rotten luck the past 3 dishwashers, so now we just do them all by hand to save trouble.

I spent 3 years in an apartment built in 1952 and don't think much changed since initial construction :/ I had to wash dishes by hand in a single basin sink. Strangely, I came around to loving dish washing. Then again, I was the only one there to dirty the dishes.

Papasan chair!?! I could sleep in one of those every day...but I could sleep on a bar stool too. ;) Good luck on the dishwasher search, I don't love mine so I won't bother you with the details.

I would recommend a dishwasher but I've only had two in my life. My current one is about 10 years old and great. The one in my other condo was fantastic as long as you didn't mistake dish liquid with dishwasher liquid. Leak, leak - river... Both are Maytag appliances [I think].

Cheers to me for giving you exact details :-(

Sounds like a recliner to me.
My DW is so old...I just pray it stays alive.

Ummm, I think our dishwasher is Kenmore. We got it maybe four years ago. Shows how much I pay attention, huh?!? Anyhoo, it seems to do the trick.

Ooh! Are you getting a big puffy bean bag chair?!?!? Love those!!!

Dang that Kristin! I have a Kenmore dishwasher and I was going to guess bean bag chair.

Hope you are having a good V-Day.

When I lived in LA, I didn't have a dishwasher for a year. I never want to have to go through that ever again.

Now I'm all curious as to what is going in your living room!

I like the idea of the hanging egg chair.
I first thought maybe it was a big beanbag chair--the really super-extra-large size that are for adults.

Before you buy a new dishwasher, buy yourself a $3 cannister of Lemi-Shine. Seriously. It will change your life. And nobody is paying me to say that. (Found you through Bossy.)

Ah dishwashers...why is something that's supposed to be so helpful often times turn out to be such a pain?

I have no idea about dishwashers because we don't have one but can't wait to see your new addition!

Thanks for visiting my wedding-y blog!

I wish I had a dishwasher with superior washing power as well. Ours isn't too bad, but I do have to rinse anything from the top rack, the bottom things come out nice and sparkly.
