Combating the "Lazies"

This being my return post from the shortest break in recorded blog history, you'd think I'd be coming back with a bang!! Actually, it's more like a sputter.

Remember my occasional bouts of hasty decision making? Well, on Sunday I purged all my photos and notes for future blog posts. Oh yes, I did!! (surprised to hear that I actually keep blog notes considering the caliber of my posts ;-) ??? me too!)

Which only left one usable photo. This one:

I always love to find banana casings plastered to the side of the garbage disposal motor.

Am I the only one who can take the time to put things in the kitchen garbage can - that is located under the sink? The boys like to just fling everything in there which leaves plenty of gooey messes and chewed gum for me to properly dispose of. That's why I get paid the invisible "big bucks" I suppose....

Now quickly put this lame post out of your minds as the much promised Monkey Bread posting is in the works...

Just this morning Leland scolded me for missing the garbage can and leaving egg shells everywhere.

Why do I do that?

Because I know Leland will clean up after me. I am an awesome wife, huh?

Ha - sometimes my son just leaves his garbage right on the kitchen counter - the laziest child ever? Maybe. And then he, of course, gets upset at me for making him get up and come back to the kitchen to put something in the garbage when I'm right there and why can't I do it??!!

Kids are gross. They really are!

Kids AND husbands are gross! You should see the stuff I find that didn't make it in the trash. Really, really, really need an invisible pay raise over here...

When I marrried Britt and moved into his home he kept the trash under the sink and it was so nast because they would just toss and go....the trash can no longer lives under the sink...now they have to pick up what they drop because they see it,and know that I will too!

Now that is a great photo. It pretty much sums up parenthood.

Looks like something that would happen at my house.

Oh, you need to break that 'flinging' of trash habit when you do pass on the tip (LOL)

Around here they boys do a fairly good job of taking their trash to the can. The husband just leaves things all over the house. Honestly, my life is easier when he's working all the time.

I take notes for blog posts too. Then when I go back to look at them I can't read my handwriting or they make no sense.

I thought you'd be gone for a while. Glad your back from your oh so long break from blogging. Bananas rule don't they?

I have to say---it gets really complicated here. We have a trash bin, a compost bin, and a recycle bin.

Sometimes I cheat and throw a banana peel right in the trash. Bad. I know. I'm a rebel.
